New Delhi. Last year, Bajaj launched the new generation Pulsar in the Indian market. It started with the N250 and the F250. This year the company launched the N160 and the next motorcycle that they will launch is the N150. It will be an entry-level motorcycle for the next generation Pulsar. This time Pulsar will come in a completely new design.

According to reports, the upcoming new Pulsar N150 will look a lot like the N160 and N250. However, the Pulsar N150 will be more affordable than the other two models. Because of this some changes can be seen. As such, the front LED headlamps will be replaced by halogen headlamps, but the design is expected to remain similar. In addition to this, the headlamp cowl can also be found different in the N160. It will get an under-belly exhaust like the N160 and the tail lamp will be an LED unit.

engine and gearbox
Bajaj will reduce the engine size of Pulsar N160. The current Pulsar 150 makes 14 PS of max power and 13.2 Nm of peak torque, while the N160 makes 16 PS of max power and 14.65 Nm of peak torque. One can expect the power output of the N150 to be around that of the current Pulsar 150, but the refinement level should be better and the engine torquey.

The N160 platform will be used in the N150. For braking, disc brakes will be seen in the front and in the top-end variant, disc brakes will also be seen in the rear. The older variants will get drum brakes at the rear. Both the variants will get single-channel ABS as standard. The suspension duties will be handled by telescopic forks at the front and mono-shock at the rear. The tires of the N150 will also be slimmer.

Not many features will be available in the new generation Pulsar. The same pattern is expected to be followed with the N150 as well. Hence, a digital instrument cluster with a tachometer and bezel-less design is expected. Bajaj may also introduce back-lit switchgear and self-cancelling turn indicators. A USB port can also be found in the bike.
