Now Thar is not well, this SUV dominated the market before launch, bookings are not stopping

New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki revealed the 5-door Jimny Lifestyle SUV at the Auto Expo 2023. At the time of debut, MSIL had also started taking pre-orders for the Jimny and Franks crossovers. Buyers can book the lifestyle SUV online or at authorized NEXA dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs.25,000.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny is very much liked by the buyers as it has received more than 15,000 bookings so far in less than 3 weeks. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny will be sold through the NEXA premium dealership network. While the exact launch date is yet to be revealed, the off-roader is likely to be launched sometime in May 2023. The SUV will be offered in two trim levels – Zeta and Alpha – and a total of 4 variants. We expect the price of the new model to be in the range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 14 lakh.

Engine & Power
Powering the lifestyle SUV is a 1.5-litre K15B 4-cylinder petrol engine with Idle Start/Stop system for optimum fuel efficiency. This naturally aspirated petrol engine is capable of producing 103bhp power and 134.2Nm torque.

Dimensions
The Jimny is the only Maruti Suzuki product to be based on a solid ladder-frame chassis. The approach angle of the SUV is 36°, the departure angle is 50° and the break-over angle is 24°. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny measures 3985 mm in length, 1645 mm in width and 1720 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2590 mm. It gets a ground clearance of 210mm, which is higher than the Force Gurkha. With the rear seats positioned, the SUV offers 208-litres of boot space.

The top-end ALFA variant of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny comes equipped with features like 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, Arkayms surround sound system, automatic headlamps, auto AC, cruise control, smart keyless entry with push-button Is. Engine start/stop, LED headlamps with DRLs, electrically foldable side mirrors and many other features are available in this car.
