New Delhi. Motorcycle company Royal Enfield is working on a plan to strengthen its international penetration. The company intends to set up assembly units in Nepal and Bangladesh. The company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) B Govindarajan gave this information. The company has a presence in more than 40 countries in the middle weight segment of 250 cc to 750 cc motorcycles.
The company is relying on its existing products for expansion. Along with this, it also has the intention of launching some new products. Govindarajan told PTI-language that we feel that there is a possibility for Royal Enfield to gain more share in all the markets where we are present.

He informed that the company has achieved a market share of 8.1 percent in the North American region. The journey of the company in this field started a few years ago through its subsidiary company. Apart from this, the company’s share in the Asia-Pacific region is nine percent, while it has reached about 10 percent in the EMEA (Europe, West Asia and Africa) region. He told that due to the super-refined engine of the company’s J-series, its market share is increasing.
Most popular model will be assembled
Most of the buses in Nepal and Bangladesh units will be assembled from the classic Royal Enfield model. This motorcycle comes in two variants single channel ABS and dual channel ABS. The Classic 350 is available in multiple color options. There are 6 color schemes for the single channel ABS variant and 9 for the dual channel ABS variant.

The motorcycle uses a 349cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-oil cooled, EFI engine, which develops maximum power of 20.2bhp and peak torque of 27Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox.
