Giving information about the development works of the airport, the senior official of this project has informed that the work of the airport is going on within the stipulated time frame and it will be ready by the year 2024. Let us tell you that this international airport is being built in the Jewar area of ​​Noida, Uttar Pradesh, 75 km from Delhi. The contract for the construction and maintenance of Jewar Airport has been awarded to Zurich International Airport AG (ZIA), Switzerland. This company is also designing the airport. Let us tell you that the Uttar Pradesh government is developing this airport on the lines of Public Private Partnership (PPP).

Jewar Airport will be completed on time
Giving information on this matter, NIA CEO Christoph Schnelmann said in a press conference that we are building the airport as per the agreement with the government. He said that we will fulfill all the terms and conditions while building the Noida International Airport and will complete this entire project on time. Along with this, when asked about the budget, it said that a total fund of Rs 5,730 crore has been received for the construction of this airport. In such a situation, Christoph Schnelmann said that he wants to build this airport within the time limit and budget. With this, he said that by the year 2024, about 12 million or 12 million people will be able to use this airport.

Responding to a query on the success of the project, NIA Chief Operating Officer Kiran Jain said that the National Capital Region (NCR) has a huge population and hence there is a need for a second international airport. He said that airlines, cargo operators as well as companies doing maintenance, repair and other things are very positive to work with the NIA.

PM had laid the foundation of the airport
The foundation of Noida International Airport (Jewar Airport) was laid last year by PM Modi on 25 November 2021. After the start of this airport, Delhi will be the only city in the country to have two international airports within a range of only 75 km. Apart from Delhi and Noida, the third airport is Ghaziabad’s Hindon, which operates domestic aircraft.
