What is special about Renault Triber?
Renault Triber prices in India, ex-showroom Delhi, start from Rs. 6.34 lakhs and go up to Rs. 8.74 lakhs for the top variant. At this price, it is the cheapest MPV sold in the country. On the other hand, talking about Maruti Ertiga, another popular car in the MPV segment, its price ranges between Rs 8.64 lakh to Rs 13.08 lakh. It is about Rs 3.50 lakh cheaper than the best-selling Mahindra Bolero in the 7-seater segment. Not only this, this car is also ahead of the competition in terms of safety. Renault Triber comes with NCAP safety rating of 4-star in adult protection and 3-star in child protection.

Talking about the engine, in Renault Triber, the company has given 1.0 liter 3 cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates maximum power of 72 PS and torque of 96 Nm. It has the option of 5-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmission. The company is also planning to introduce a 100 PS turbo petrol engine which will further improve the power and pickup.

In terms of features, the Renault Triber also gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, 6-way adjustable driver seat with height adjustment, steering-mounted music controls and phone control features. The MPV also gets AC vents for the second and third row, push-button start/stop, cooled storage in the center console and a digital instrument cluster. It comes with a boot space of 84 litres, which can be expanded to 625 liters by folding down the third row seats.

In terms of safety, Renault Triber has also been given Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control System (TCS) and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Apart from this, the car also gets four airbags (front and side), ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera.
