This small Hyundai car coming in a new avatar will compete with Swift and Punch


The facelift version of the Grand i10 Nios will get a new interior theme.

New Delhi. Hyundai Motor India is soon going to launch its small and popular car Grand i10 Nios in a new avatar in the country. Recently, the new model of the car was spotted in India during testing. The hatchback has been a popular choice over the years and has become a strong rival to most cars from Maruti India. This car was introduced in 2019 and the facelift model of Grand i10 Nios is expected to hit the market soon.

According to media reports, the front of the upcoming new Grand i10 Nios will be completely new. The hatchback is expected to get a redesigned grille, which could be joined by the revised headlamps. Apart from this, the unique boomerang shaped LED DRLS can also be placed differently. The side profile of this car can be retained like the current Hyundai model.

What will be new in the interior?

Talking about the interior, new interior themes and better upholstery can be found in this facelift version of Grand i10 Nios. Apart from this, the Hyundai car is expected to feature a bigger infotainment system, a new instrument cluster with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Car will come with more mileage

Talking about the powertrain, this updated Grand i10 Nios can retain the existing diesel, petrol and CNG options. The car gets a 1.2L petrol engine, which generates 83 Bhp power and 113.8 Nm torque. This engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The new Grand i10 Nios could also be offered with a more fuel efficient 1.0L turbo petrol engine.

These cars will compete

The 2023 Grand i10 Nios will compete with the new generation Maruti Swift and Tata Punch. The car has become very popular due to its practicality and value for money. By giving the mid-life update to the Grand i10 Nios, Hyundai aims to increase the hatchback’s customer base.
