Car And Bike Price: Many car and bike companies in the country are going to increase the prices of their vehicles from next month i.e. April. Manufacturers have attributed the increase in prices to increased inflation in the market as well as regulatory requirements like BS6 Phase-II. For which it is necessary that the vehicles have to comply with the stringent emission norms. Companies have started updating their model lineup to meet the new requirements.

From April 1, new vehicles will be fitted with on-board self-diagnostic devices to monitor real-time driving emission levels. The device will continuously monitor key parts of the vehicle such as the catalytic converter and oxygen sensor to meet the emission norms.

These bike-scooters will become expensive
Hero MotoCorp is also increasing the ex-showroom prices of its two-wheeler range from next month. The hike in prices will be around two per cent and is largely due to cost escalation in view of compliance with OBD 2 and RDE norms. The exact amount of the price increase will vary by model and market. The prices of Tata Motors commercial vehicles will also be increased by up to 5% ahead of the BS6 Phase II norms.

Country’s largest car company will also increase prices
Maruti Suzuki is increasing the prices of its models from next month to partially offset the impact of rising inflation and regulatory requirements. However, the carmaker has not yet revealed by how much the price will be increased. The domestic automaker has hiked prices seven times since January 2021 by small amounts in view of the rise in input costs over time.

Honda also announced
For all these reasons, Honda Cars India will increase the price of one of its best selling models, the Amaze. Depending on the variant, the price of the model will increase by around Rs 12,000. The sedan is currently priced starting at Rs 6.89 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.48 lakh for the top-end model.
