According to a report by market research firm Canalys, Xiaomi has emerged as the largest smartphone brand in India in the third quarter of 2022. During this time the company has shipped 9.2 million i.e. about 9 million units. However, the annual growth rate of the company has registered a decline of about 18 percent. Simply put, Xiaomi’s business has come down in the last one year. A year ago, during the same period, Xiaomi had shipped about 11.2 million or 112 million units.
Samsung is India’s second most preferred brand
Samsung remains the second most preferred brand in India after Xiaomi. During the third quarter of the year 2022, Samsung’s total market share has been around 18 percent. At the same position, Vivo has been the company. Vivo’s total market share has been around 16 percent. While Oppo’s number four comes with 16 percent. Whereas Realme company has been at the fifth position. Realme’s total market share was 15 percent.
44.6 million units shipped in the third quarter
If we talk overall, 44.6 million units have been shipped in the third quarter of 2022. Which is about 6 percent less than a year ago. According to the report, consumer demand has improved in the last few weeks. Oppo has been the only smartphone company that has suffered a loss. Oppo shipped around 7.1 million units during this period.
