7 people burnt alive in a fire in a hotel in South Korea, 9-storey building accident – Hindustan News Hub

SEOUL: At least 7 people have been burnt alive in a massive fire in a hotel in South Korea. While many people have been injured. The condition of 3 people among the injured remains very critical. All have been admitted to the hospital. It is being told that this heart-wrenching incident took place in a hotel in the South Korean city of Bucheon, where at least seven people died and 12 were injured in the fire. Officials gave this information.

Kim In-je, director of Bucheon’s public health department, said three of the injured victims were in critical condition. He said the injured were being treated at six nearby hospitals. Lee Sang-don, an official at Bucheon’s fire station, said 23 guests were staying at the nine-story hotel when the fire broke out on Thursday evening. It was not yet known what caused the fire. Lee said the fire that spread from the eighth floor had been almost extinguished, but the number of injured and dead could rise.

The search for other people in the building continues

Lee said emergency service workers were searching for people in the building. He said the victims were found in the hall and on the stairs. The cause of the fire is being investigated. More than 150 firefighters and 46 fire vehicles were deployed to douse the fire. At the time of writing the news, efforts to douse the fire were ongoing and people were being searched. (AP)
