Peshawar: Pakistan is facing continuous terrorist attacks. Just a day ago, there was a massive terrorist attack on Pakistan’s Gwadar Port, in which two Pakistani soldiers were killed. During this time, in retaliation, 8 attackers were also killed by the security forces. But just a day later, today again Pakistan is shaken by a terrorist attack. At least two people were killed and 22 others were injured when a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a convoy of security forces in Pakistan’s northwestern region on Thursday. Police gave this information.
Police said the incident took place in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province when a convoy of security forces was moving from one part of the district to another. A senior police officer said, “At least two people were killed and 22 others were injured in the suicide attack.” The two persons who lost their lives are believed to be security forces personnel. However, this has not been confirmed yet.” The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. After receiving information about the incident, security forces and police officers reached the spot and closed the Tank-Ismail Khan road for all types of vehicular traffic.
Last week, terrorists had killed 7 Pakistani soldiers in northwest Pakistan.
A bomb disposal squad official said, “We are ascertaining the quantity of explosives used in the suicide attack.” Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is a highly troubled region of Pakistan and there are frequent attacks on security forces. Last week, an armed group attacked a military post in northwestern Pakistan near the border with Afghanistan, killing seven security forces personnel. (Language)
