Tire (Lebanon): After killing Hezbollah Chief Nasrallah, the Israeli Army also killed the new Hezbollah Chief Hashim Saffieddin in an airstrike within a few days. Hasif Saffieddin was reported missing ever since he became the Hezbollah chief. He was not in contact with anyone. The Israeli army had expressed fear of killing him in an airstrike. But Hezbollah was not confirming this till now. Now, after almost 3 weeks have passed, Hezbollah has confirmed the killing of Hashim Safidin as well.
Hezbollah announced on Wednesday that one of its top members, Hashim Saffieddin, was killed in an Israeli airstrike. Hashim Saifieddin was a strong possibility to replace organization chief Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli air strike last month. The announcement came a day after Israel said Saffieddin was killed in one of its strikes in Beirut’s southern suburbs earlier this month. Several top Hezbollah members have been killed in Israeli strikes over the past several weeks. (AP)
