Kiev: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left Kiev after a historic visit to Ukraine. This was the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Kiev after the independence of Ukraine. During this time, PM Modi stayed in Kiev for about 7-8 hours. He paid tribute to the children martyred in the war. At such a time, PM Modi and Zelensky became very emotional. During his stay in Ukraine, he held a “meaningful dialogue” with President Vladimir Zelensky and assured to personally contribute to ending the ongoing war with Russia. While leaving Ukraine, he has also raised hopes of ending the war. Zelensky has also admitted that the war can end if India changes its stance.

Before leaving Kiev, Prime Minister Modi proposed to Russia and Ukraine to come to the negotiating table. Before leaving Ukraine, Modi also raised hopes of ending the war. This visit of PM Modi has taken place exactly 6 weeks after his visit to Russia. Modi had also appealed to Russian President Putin to bring peace in the war through talks. Now it is believed that on PM Modi’s appeal, both the countries can reach the threshold of talks. If this happens, it will be the biggest miracle in the world.

Talks with Zelensky

During his stay in Ukraine, PM Modi participated in many meetings. He held serious talks with Ukrainian President Zelensky on many issues including the Russia-Ukraine war. During this time, 4 important agreements were also signed between India and Ukraine. PM Modi also presented Bhishma Cube to Ukrainian President Zelensky for medical assistance to war victims. After leaving Kiev, Prime Minister Modi wrote on ‘X’, “My visit to Ukraine was historic. I have come to this great country with the aim of deepening India-Ukraine friendship. I had a meaningful conversation with President Zelensky.

Modi said- India’s faith is peace

PM Modi said- India firmly believes that peace should always prevail. I thank the government and people of Ukraine for their hospitality. Earlier in the day, Modi held extensive talks with President Zelensky here and stressed the need for dialogue with each other to find a solution to the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia and said that India is ready to play an active role in every effort for peace. Russia attacked Ukraine on 24 February 2022. Since then the war between the two countries continues. Prime Minister Modi reached Kiev by a special train in the morning. (Language)
