US Sanctions On Russia: The Biden administration on Friday (September 30) implemented new US sanctions against Russia. US officials called it a serious action against the illegal occupation of Russia in the areas of Ukraine. These sanctions have been imposed by the US soon after Russian President Vladimir Putin signed treaties for the occupied territories of Ukraine. According to a press release by Biden administration officials, the Treasury and Commerce departments have announced sanctions on entities and individuals, inside or outside Russia, that provide political or financial aid to Russia for its alleged annexation. Another press release said the US Treasury has named 14 people at Russia’s military-industrial complex and 278 members of Russia’s legislature to try to enforce a fake referendum there and annex sovereign Ukrainian territory. .
Ban imposed on civilians including military officers
Meanwhile, the US State Department said in a press release that in its new actions, visa restrictions have been imposed on 1000 individuals. Those who have been banned for visas include members of the Russian Federation military, Belarusian military officers and some Russian secret officers working from behind the scenes of Russia, including many Russian citizens. The US State Department has imposed this sanction against a Ukrainian prisoner of war in protest of his involvement in a gross human rights violation. The Commerce Department said in a press release that it has issued a rule that targets 57 entities located in the Crimea of Russia and Ukraine.
