America on Iran: The US on Wednesday imposed new sanctions on three procurement networks that support Iran’s ballistic missile, nuclear and defense programs. In this regard, the Treasury Department gave this information in a statement. The statement said procurement networks based in Iran, Turkey, Oman and Germany had procured carbon fiber, epoxy resins and other missile capable items.
“Today, the US Treasury Department OFAC targeted three procurement networks based in Iran, Turkey, Oman and Germany,” it said in a statement. This network supports Iran’s ballistic missile, nuclear and defense programs. This action was taken to prevent the proliferation and distribution of weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
American official said this regarding Iran
Brian E. Nelson, Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, said that ‘these networks procured carbon fiber, epoxy resins, and other missile applicable goods for Iran’s IRGC, ASF, SSJO. Iran wants to supply weapons to the wrong hands around the world through networks that have been banned. This will lead to conflict and the lives of countless people will be in danger. This is the reason why America has banned such networks.
America will give advice to those who help Iran
The United States will continue to use its tools to disrupt these networks and hold accountable those countries that facilitate the proliferation of Iran’s drones and missiles. The White House said in a statement that ‘the United States is today imposing sanctions on procurement networks based in Iran, Turkey, Oman, and Germany that have helped Iran.
A strategy was made in 2007 to deal with Iran’s missile program
The US State Department issued directives on 25 October 2007 regarding Iran’s ballistic missile program. In this, America had expressed its determination to expose and disrupt Iran’s unauthorized weapons proliferation network.
