Mohammad Yunus has targeted former Bangladesh Prime Minister Hasina. He has blamed Hasina for the tension in the current relations between India and Bangladesh. Yunus has repeatedly said that Hasina presented other political parties of Bangladesh as anti-India. This gave India the impression that only Hasina can maintain better relations with India and there is no alternative to her. But now Yunus has said that this is not so. This was a wrong impression spread by Hasina.
There is no other way than to have good relations with India
In an interview, Yunus said that Bangladesh has no other option but to have good relations with India. That is why he wants to maintain the same relations with India as before. He said that we have many things in common. We have had a long relationship with India. That is why we should maintain good relations with India in future as well. He said that our country will sit together and talk with India to solve the issue of illegal movement of people on the India-Bangladesh border and water sharing. We will solve this issue through mutual dialogue.
Hasina ruined Bangladesh
Yunus said that Sheikh Hasina completely ruined Bangladesh. She ruined everything from Bangladesh’s constitutional institutions to the economy. Yunus has made this allegation when Bangladesh established itself as the second largest economy of South Asia during the tenure of former PM Sheikh Hasina. He alleged that Hasina did everything for the benefit of herself and her family.
