Quetta: Gunmen have killed 20 miners and injured seven in south-west Pakistan. A police officer gave this information on Friday. The latest attack in the restive Balochistan province comes days before a major security summit to be held in the country’s capital. Police officer Hamayun Khan Nasir said the gunmen attacked residences near a coal mine in Duki district late Thursday night.

Police officer Hamayun Khan Nasir said that the gunmen surrounded the residential area from all sides and started firing. Most of these people were from Pashtun-speaking areas of Balochistan. Three of the dead and four of the injured are said to be of Afghan origin. At present, no organization has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Mines and machines set on fire
Political head of Duki district, Haji Khairullah Nasir told the media about the incident that this incident took place in Duki district of Balochistan province. Unknown assailants opened fire and killed many people. He also said the armed attackers set mines and machinery on fire before fleeing the scene.
Police van was attacked
Let us tell you that earlier, terrorists had carried out a deadly attack on a police van in Pakistan’s restive north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Two Pakistan Police personnel were killed and three were injured in this attack. This attack took place on a police van during patrolling. Suspected terrorists had suddenly attacked the van.
