Washington: A big revelation has been made about the son of Osama bin Laden, the world’s most dangerous terrorist who carried out the 9/11 attack in America. A report in the American newspaper The Mirror claims that Osama’s son Hamza bin Laden is still alive and is commanding the Al Qaeda terrorist organization in Afghanistan. The report warns that “under Hamza’s command, Al Qaeda is reorganizing and preparing for future attacks on Western targets”.
According to intelligence reports cited by The Mirror, Hamza bin Laden, son of Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, is alive. The report said that Hamza is secretly running the Al Qaeda outfit in Afghanistan along with his brother Abdullah bin Laden. The anti-Taliban military alliance, the National Mobilisation Front (NMF), has also put out a report detailing the operations of Hamza and his associates. The outlet said that the man dubbed the “Prince of Terror” is hiding in northern Afghanistan under the constant protection of 450 snipers.
Afghanistan has become a terrorist training center
The report warned that Afghanistan has become a “training center for various terrorist groups” since the fall of Kabul in 2021. “Hamza bin Laden has been moved to Dara Abdullah Khel district (in Panjshir), where 450 Arabs and Pakistanis are protecting him,” it said. The report refuted claims that Hamza was killed in a 2019 US airstrike. Hamza is believed to have worked closely with Ayman al-Zawahiri, who took over the functioning of al Qaeda after Osama’s killing. Hamza’s death was reported after his audio and video messages calling for attacks on the US and other countries surfaced. However, according to an old BBC report, the location and date of Hamza’s death were unclear. The Pentagon also did not comment on the issue.
Hamza was under house arrest in Iran
Osama’s son Hamza bin Laden was officially designated as a global terrorist by the US and was believed to be under house arrest in Iran. He is said to have been born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, before spending several years with his mother in Iran. Hamza’s father, Osama bin Laden, was killed by US special forces in 2011 at a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. Osama had approved the September 11, 2001 attacks on the US, which killed nearly 3,000 people.
