“At least 219,990 people have been moved to cyclone centers in 15 coastal districts till 5 pm on Monday,” Moniruzzaman told PTI. Meteorologist Monwar Hussain said, “The cyclone is moving towards the coast faster than its previous speed and the wind speed is 80 to 90 kilometers per hour. The cyclone may hit the beach in Barishal area by midnight on Monday. ”

The Meteorological Department, in its latest instructions issued on Monday evening, asked the ports of Pyra, Mongla and Chittagong to raise the danger signal and advised the Cox’s Bazar port to maintain the danger signal number 6 on a scale of 10.
