DoorDash and Chase to Deliver a New Rewards Mastercard

Chase and food delivery service DoorDash are cooking up the first DoorDash credit card with Mastercard. The upcoming DoorDash Rewards Mastercard will offer exclusive DoorDash benefits to cardholders and earn rewards on purchases on and off the platform. The card could help you save money if you frequently use DoorDash for takeout and delivery orders, groceries and convenience store items, and household essentials.

This card does not yet have a release date, and specific rewards and fees have not been announced.

The DoorDash Rewards Mastercard will come with World Elite Mastercard benefits, including 24/7 concierge service and exclusive offers on brands such as Lyft, Fandango and ShopRunner. DoorDash benefits are also on the menu, although this card is not the only one to offer them.

The deals and perks of the DoorDash Rewards Mastercard should offer cardholders a step up from the free DashPass – DoorDash’s monthly subscription service – included with many other Chase credit cards. But make sure you know what you’re getting because DoorDash promotions vary by card.

Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Preferred Card and JP Morgan Reserve Card users receive a free DashPass through the end of 2024 or for at least one year, depending on when you activate the benefit. Chase Sapphire Reserve and JP Morgan Reserve Card holders enrolled in DashPass also get a $5 monthly DoorDash credit and can carry over up to $15 in credit for up to two months.

Chase Freedom and Chase Slate cards offer three free months of a DashPass subscription and a 50% discount on the next nine months. Certain Chase co-branded credit cards are also eligible for 12 months of free DoorDash benefits.

The DoorDash Rewards Mastercard will expand Chase’s card offerings in the delivery economy, which includes the Instacart Mastercard. Cardholders get a free year of Instacart+, a $100 Instacart credit and 5% cash back on Instacart purchases.
