Islamabad: After Pakistan’s fractured mandate, another attempt to form a coalition government has failed. Let us tell you that PMLN and PPP have not been able to agree on the ‘formula’ for power-sharing for the coalition government. Talks between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) remained inconclusive. Both sides, however, claimed “significant progress” in the discussions. This information has been given in a news. The third meeting between the Contact and Coordination Committees (CCC) of the two parties on Saturday remained inconclusive and both decided to hold another meeting on Monday to finalize the power-sharing ‘formula’.

A statement issued by the PML-N after the meeting said there had been “significant progress” in talks with both sides stressing the need for a “strong democratic government”. “The proposals put forward by both sides were thoroughly discussed and, although substantial progress has been achieved, further discussions are required to finalize the existing matters,” a joint statement said.
