Many websites, including Facebook and Instagram, crashed for about an hour on Tuesday night, leaving users around the world in trouble. No one could understand what had happened. On this, Elon Musk took a dig at Meta and said that our servers are working. Musk said this by tweeting.
Meta’s Facebook and Instagram were suddenly shut down for hundreds of thousands of users around the world on Tuesday. Users were unable to load apps, send messages, and refresh searches on Facebook and Instagram. Frustrated users turned to social media, particularly X (formerly Twitter), to voice their complaints and express their dissatisfaction regarding the crash. On this, X owner Elon Musk also took a dig at Meta and said, ‘If you are reading this post, it is because our servers are working.’
Facebook-Insta started trending down
DownDetector, the website that tracks outages, has reported more than 3,00,000 Facebook outages worldwide and more than 47,000 outages for Instagram. According to Reuters, Meta’s status dashboard showed that the application programming interface for WhatsApp Business was also experiencing problems. The outage is now top trending on X, with many users saying they have suddenly been logged out of the Meta-owned social media platform. It is unclear how long it will take for the servers to resume operations.
