Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp down in Pakistan, second outage in a week
Pakistan WhatsApp Down: Many social media sites including Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp were stalled in Pakistan on Wednesday (November 2). Outage tracker downdetector has given this information. Dawn newspaper quoted the website as saying that the apps were closed after 5 pm. During this, WhatsApp Down was also trending on Twitter in Pakistan.
People in Pakistan took to Twitter to complain about connectivity to social media sites and account logins, but users later reported being able to send and receive messages via WhatsApp. Downdetector is an online platform that provides real-time information about the status of various websites and services.
Second outage in a week
Last week too, WhatsApp was down for almost two hours, which was described as a global outage. Users of Meta-owned instant messaging and voice call platform WhatsApp had reported that they were unable to have group as well as individual chats during the outage. WhatsApp Web users were also affected by the outage.

During this time WhatsApp was also down in many cities of India. WhatsApp users were neither able to send messages nor were receiving any messages. Many users also claimed that they were not able to login.
IT Ministry had sought report from META
During this time users were also unable to change their profile photo. After which the company issued a statement saying that WhatsApp users have faced problems. We are working to start the service soon. WhatsApp was restarted after about 2 hours. The IT Ministry of India had also sought a report from Meta about the WhatsApp server being down.
