According to a Bloomberg report, the country has launched a five- and 10-year ‘second home visa’ facility for those who have at least 2 billion rupees ($130,000) in their bank accounts. Talking about Indian currency, this amount is about 1 crore rupees. Indonesia has released a complete list of countries that can apply for a second visa. Professional, retired and rich people can apply for this visa.
This scheme has been implemented in Bali when the G-20 countries are going to meet in November. According to an official, their aim is to attract foreign tourists to visit Bali and various other destinations. He said it is a non-fiscal incentive for some foreigners to make a positive contribution to the Indonesian economy.
Conditions for Second Home Visa
Under the Second Home Visa Scheme of the Indonesian government, foreign nationals will be able to stay in Bali for 5 years to 10 years. During this time foreign nationals will also be allowed to invest in Bali. Interested tourists can apply for this through online application. However, some conditions have also been laid by the government for taking the facility of second home visa. According to the rules, it is necessary to have a national passport of at least 36 months for this.
At the same time, foreign tourists will also have to give full details of their funds to stay in Bali. For this, they should also have an account of their own in Indonesia. In case the foreign national does not have an account, his guarantor should have an account. There should be at least 2 billion rupees (Indonesian currency) in that account.
