‘I will also reveal the name of another army officer..,’ ex-Pakistan PM Imran Khan said

Pak Imran Khan News: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday threatened to reveal the names of other army officers in connection with the attack on himself. Khan was attacked during a ‘long march’ against Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s government in Wazirabad in Punjab province, in which he was shot in the right leg.

Imran Khan had earlier alleged that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Home Minister Rana Sanaullah and Major General Faisal Naseer were involved in the sinister plot to assassinate him. Now Imran Khan tweeted, “I will also reveal the name of the second officer who was monitoring the execution of the conspiracy with Major General Faisal on 3 November from 12 noon to 5 pm.”

‘Murder plot hatched two months ago’

Discharged from hospital, FIR registered

Imran Khan, who was injured in a bullet injury at Shaukat Khanum Hospital, has undergone surgery. He was discharged from the hospital last Sunday and taken to his Zaman Park residence in Lahore. Doctors have advised him to take rest for four to six weeks. On the other hand, in this case, the FIR was registered by the Punjab Police for firing, but the names of the people on whom Imran has leveled allegations did not appear in it. External Affairs Minister demands free and fair investigation

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday condemned the attempt to assassinate Khan and called for an “independent and impartial” probe into the case so that “the truth can come out”. Bilawal said in an interview to CNN, “I condemn it… there is a need for an absolutely free and fair investigation. The attack on the former prime minister or anyone should be investigated in an impartial manner.”

Earlier, the Punjab Police said that it has registered an FIR on the directions of the Supreme Court and named the suspect Naveed under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act and Sections 302, 324 and 440 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Police said Bashir was arrested from the spot after confessing to the crime.
