India and America move towards comprehensive global strategic partnership, Rajnath Singh signs 2 agreements – Hindustan News Hub

Washington: India and America have now taken a step towards a comprehensive global strategic partnership. This means that in the coming times, India and America will now together decide the direction of the world. This partnership between the world’s two largest democracies is very important. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has signed two major agreements between India and America during his official visit to Washington. Singh has come to America to further promote the comprehensive global strategic partnership between the two countries.

These agreements signed on Thursday relate to Memorandum of Understanding regarding Security of Supply (SOSA) and Appointment of Liaison Officers. Sharing some pictures of the event in a post on ‘X’ on Friday, the Defense Ministry said, “Two important documents were signed in Washington during the visit of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to the US. Senior defense officials of both sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding Security of Supply (SOSA) and Appointment of Liaison Officers. ” Singh arrived here on Thursday on a four-day visit to the US.

Deepening friendship between India and America

Since PM Modi’s visit to America, the friendship between the two countries is becoming deeper. The US Department of Defense said in a statement that through the SOSA agreement, the US and India have agreed to provide mutual priority support for goods and services that promote national security. Under this, both countries will be able to obtain necessary industrial resources from each other to resolve unexpected supply chain disruptions in view of meeting national security requirements.

The SOSA was signed by Dr. Vik Ramdas, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, Department of Defense, on behalf of the US and Additional Secretary and Director General (Acquisition) Sameer Kumar Sinha on behalf of the Ministry of Defense. Ramdas said, “These agreements represent an important link in the major defense relationship between the US and India and will be an important factor in strengthening the US-India Defense Technology and Trade Initiative (DTTI).
