Jerusalem: The Israeli army has given residents of 24 villages in southern Lebanon an ultimatum to vacate the villages. This warning issued by Israel on Wednesday has come at a time when the army has recently started operations near the border areas to deal with the Hezbollah terrorist group. The Israeli Army is calling it a limited ground operation. These 24 villages fall in the ‘buffer zone’ declared by the United Nations, which was established after the last war between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006.

The Israeli army also said that infantry and armored units are taking part in ground operations in southern Lebanon against Iran-backed Hezbollah.
Attacks on Hezbollah will continue
Israel says it will continue attacks on Hezbollah until it is safe for displaced Israelis from border areas to return to their homes. Only after this happens will the ground military operation be completed. The Israeli army said in a statement that it had launched ground attacks on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Israel has again bombed Lebanon. The latest airstrikes were carried out in the southern areas of Beirut. Israeli forces launched at least five airstrikes in areas south of Beirut early Wednesday. The attacks have been carried out on Hezbollah targets.
