Tel Aviv: For the first time, the Israeli Foreign Ministry has issued an official statement regarding the extent of damage caused and the total number of deaths in Iran’s rapid missile attack on Israel’s Tel Aviv on October 1. Alex Gandler, deputy spokesman for Israel’s Foreign Ministry, says, “Iran and the IRGC fired more than 180 rockets (missiles) at Israel yesterday. Most of the rockets were intercepted by our air defense systems and members of our coalition.” No person died in Israel during this period.
Alex said that our objective is to protect Israel and bring stability in the region. We have strategic goals to deal with Iran. Israel is working to defeat all of Iran’s proxies, whether it’s Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis or others… Our understanding is that Iran has opened a global front against Israel. Our response will be to free the buffer and those countries (proxy ones) from the Iranian stronghold. He said there was no loss of life or property in Tuesday’s Iranian attack on Tel Aviv and no one was injured or killed. Alex said it’s because of our capabilities. The Israeli air defense system and our alliance that is helping to defeat Iran.
Iran attacked with 200 ballistic missiles
On Tuesday night, Iran attacked Israel’s Tel Aviv city simultaneously with more than 200 ballistic and supersonic missiles. During this period, Iran had claimed to have destroyed many important bases including Israel’s Mossad head quarter and Israeli army base. Looking at Iran’s attacks, it seemed that there would have been a lot of loss of life and property in Israel. But now the Israeli Foreign Ministry has said that there has been no loss of life or property due to Iran’s attack.
