Deir al-Balah (Gaza Strip): Israel has again launched a massive attack in southern Gaza today. The Israeli Army carried out this attack after Iran’s air strike on Tel Aviv. At least 51 people have been killed in overnight attacks on Gaza by the Israeli army. According to Palestinian medical officials, women and children are also among the dead. Let us tell you that almost a year after the war broke out in the Palestinian Territory following the attack by Hamas on October 7, Israel continues to attack terrorist targets located in Gaza. While its attention is also towards Lebanon and Iran.
On the other hand, now Israeli ground troops have infiltrated into Lebanon against Hezbollah. News of a fierce battle between Israeli soldiers and Hezbollah on the Lebanese border has come to light today. In which the IDF has confirmed the death of one of its commanders. However, Middle East media has claimed that more than 10 Israeli soldiers were killed during this period. Earlier, Iran attacked Israel with ballistic missiles late on Tuesday night i.e. on October 1. In which Iran claimed to have destroyed many targets including Israel’s army base and Mossad’s head quarter.
Big encounter between Hezbollah and Israeli soldiers today
Hezbollah, considered the most powerful armed group in the region, said its fighters clashed heavily with Israeli troops at two locations inside Lebanon near the border. The Israeli military said ground troops, backed by airstrikes, killed several militants in the encounters, but did not say where the incident took place. The army also reported the first combat death since the start of the latest operation. Said that a 22-year-old captain of a commando brigade in Lebanon was killed in battle. The Israeli army has warned people of about 50 villages and towns to evacuate their homes. Millions of people have already fled their homes as the conflict intensifies.
Israel attacks UN
Israel has today targeted the United Nations after the Iranian airstrike. Israel declared UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres persona non grata, meaning he was banned from entering the country. Foreign Minister Israel Katz accused him of not unequivocally condemning the Iranian attack. Guterres issued a brief statement after the bombing saying, “I condemn the expansion of the Middle East conflict, which continues to escalate. This has got to stop. There is definitely a need for a ceasefire.” This move has deepened the already existing rift between Israel and the United Nations. (AP)
