A surprising case has come to light from Saudi Arabia. Parts of Saudi Arabia, normally known for its desert, are witnessing heavy rain and snowfall for the first time in history. According to reports, the Al-Jouf region recently received heavy snowfall, creating a winter wonderland in the country, which is generally known for its dry climate. This unprecedented snowfall followed a series of heavy rains and hailstorms that began in the region.
Local people were surprised
It is being told that when the people of Al-Jouf area woke up in the morning, they saw a surprising sight of white snow. The Saudi Press Agency highlighted that not only snowfall occurred here, but waterfalls also formed, reviving the valleys and filling the area with life. This winter-like sight marks a change, as the country enters winter, giving way to the beautiful spring season that Al-Jouf is famous for.
The weather will be bad in the coming days
However, the Saudi Meteorological Department has issued warnings of continued bad weather in the coming days. People in Al-Jouf can also expect a storm in most parts. According to the forecast, visibility may be reduced due to further heavy rain and hailstorm. There is also a possibility of strong winds with these storms, due to which officials have been advised to exercise caution.
This is the first time such an incident has happened.
Let us tell you that Saudi Arabia is not the only country to experience unusual weather patterns. Earlier, United Arab Emirates (UAE) has also gone through similar weather changes. On 14 October, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) of the United Arab Emirates issued an alert regarding the possibility of expected rainfall, storm surge and hailstorm in several areas. The UAE Meteorological Department has attributed these changes to low pressure systems extending from the Arabian Sea towards Oman, which has affected weather conditions across the region.
changes in weather
This unpredictable winter weather highlights the evolving climate patterns in the Middle East, where even the driest regions can experience significant changes. Snowfall in Al-Jawf not only adds a unique chapter to the climate history of the kingdom, but also offers residents and visitors the chance to experience the beauty of winter landscapes rarely seen in this part of the world.
