Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi Regins: Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi on Thursday resigned as Prime Minister following the collapse of the National Unity Coalition Government. In fact, PM Mario Draghi had to resign after important members of the coalition did not participate in the trust vote. He submitted his resignation to President Sergio Mattarella this morning. Now elections will be held once again in the country.
Confirming his resignation, Mattarella’s office said the president had taken note of Mario Draghi’s resignation. At present, the Dragi government will work as a caretaker government.
