Melania Trump’s lawyer Pirk Musar elected Slovenia’s first female president

Ljubljana: Slovenian lawyer Natasha Pirk Musar has been elected as the country’s first female president. Earlier in 2016, former US First Lady Melania Trump made Natasha her lawyer in a case. Natasha Musar will take office on December 23, when the second term of the current President Borut Pahor ends, Xinhua news agency reported.

After nearly 98 percent of the votes were counted on Sunday, Musser received 54 percent of the vote, while his opponent, Ange Logger, received 46 percent. In the first round of last month’s presidential election, Logar won the most votes among seven candidates, with Musar coming second. Mussar is a lawyer and former National Information Commissioner of the country.

She stood as an independent candidate but was supported by Prime Minister Robert Gollob and one of her coalition partners, the Social Democrats. Musser was embroiled in controversy when her husband’s investments began to be attacked by detractors. These investments were made in countries where taxes are kept hidden. Musser is fond of riding motorcycles.
