Kurdish astrophotographer Darya Kawa Mirza has taken an unprecedented, most advanced image of the moon ever taken. The amazing image of the moon, for which Darya Kawa Mirza took four days of continuous observation and then shot the photo, shows the moon’s topography in amazing clarity in detail, revealing features that have never been seen before. Mirza’s photo, which he described as the “clearest moon image” ever taken.
His final photo of the Moon is an astonishing 159.7 megapixels and has a file size of 708 gigabytes, created by combining over 81,000 individual images. Photographer Darya Kava Mirza revealed some interesting facts about the photo in a post on Instagram.

A user clarified that the colors in the image are not what human eyes would naturally perceive.

Mirza explained, “The saturation has been enhanced to highlight geological differences on the moon’s surface. Areas colored red indicate high iron and feldspar content, while areas colored blue have high titanium content. Rather than looking at the colors as ‘real’ or ‘fake,’ it is more accurate to consider them as a tool that can simulate what one might see with advanced detection capabilities.”
Earlier, NASA astronaut Matthew Dominick, who was aboard the International Space Station for nearly four months, captured a stunning photo of the moon setting over the Pacific Ocean.
