Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s big statement has come after the claim of killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. He said today on Thursday that Israel has settled its score with the person who carried out the worst massacre against our people in history on October 7. Netanyahu said the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar is a significant moment in the struggle for the return home of Hamas hostages in Gaza.

‘Our war is not over yet’

Netanyahu also said that anyone who surrenders weapons and assists in the return of hostages would be allowed to leave Gaza safely. He said that still our war is not over yet. The Israeli army said on Thursday that the IDF in Gaza killed Sinwar, the top leader of Hamas, who was the main conspirator of the attack on Israel last year and which gave rise to this war. However, this was not a targeted attack by the Israeli Army on Sinwar. It appears that soldiers passed by it while fighting in the war. They later learned that the body lying in the debris was that of the same person whom Israel had been trying to hunt for more than a year.

Hamas suffered a big blow

Just a few months ago, former Hamas chief Ismail Haniya alias Haniyeh was also killed in Tehran. After this, the assassination of his successor and new Hamas Chief Yahya Sinwar is a big blow to Hamas. Sinwar had been at the top of Israel’s most wanted list since the Israel-Hamas war began a year ago. His killing is a powerful blow to the terrorist group. However, there was no immediate confirmation of his death from Hamas.
