Whose government will be formed is not clear even after 10 days of voting
Even after 10 days of voting, it is not clear which party will form the government at the Centre. Independent candidates supported by former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party have won the highest number of seats in Parliament. However, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have announced to form the government together. No party has got a clear majority in the elections. The post-poll alliance between PML-N and PPP means that PTI will not be able to form the next federal government.
