Pakistan SCO Summit: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar at the venue of the SCO summit in Islamabad. The Foreign Minister has come to Pakistan to participate in the 23rd meeting of the Heads of Government of the SCO Council. Jaishankar will participate in talks on trade and economy on the second day of the SCO summit. He reached Pakistan on Tuesday.

Pakistan is hosting the SCO meeting amid tight security. The main conference is to be held on Wednesday i.e. today. The 23rd meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government (CHG) will be held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Pakistan. The SCO CHG meeting is held annually. This meeting focuses on the trade and economic agenda of the organization. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will represent India in the meeting of the SCO Heads of Government Council. The SCO CHG meets annually and focuses on the organization’s trade and economic agenda.

S Jaishankar attended the dinner

Earlier on Tuesday night, Jaishankar attended the dinner. Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif had hosted a dinner at his residence. During this time, Jaishankar and Shahbaz Sharif met, both of them shook hands warmly and also had a brief conversation.
