PM Modi pays tribute at Jam Saheb Nawanagar Memorial

PM Narendra Modi has arrived on a two-day visit to Poland. With this, PM Modi has become the first Indian leader to visit Poland in 45 years. He has paid tribute at the Monte Cassino monument and the Kolhapur family monument in Warsaw, which are located next to each other. After paying tribute to Jam Saheb in Navanagar, he has paid tribute at the Kolhapur family memorial. The Monte Cassino monument commemorates the victory of the soldiers of the 2nd Polish Corps in the Battle of Monte Cassino in 1944 during World War II. The 2nd Corps conquered the hill and the monastery located on it against the Nazi German army. More than 900 Polish soldiers were killed in this battle.

Today PM Narendra Modi paid tribute at the Jam Saheb of Nawanagar memorial in Warsaw, Poland. The statue of Maharaja Digvijaysinhji Ranjitsinhji Jadeja of Nawanagar was built during World War II, who sheltered hundreds of Polish children during World War II.
