PM Modi’s foreign tour, will first visit Poland and then Ukraine – Hindustan News Hub

PM Narendra Modi Poland Visit: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave for Poland today (21-08-2023). After Poland, PM Modi is also going to visit Ukraine. This is the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Poland in the last 45 years. PM Modi will be formally welcomed in Warsaw, Poland. Here he will meet President Andrzej Sebastian Duda and hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Apart from this, PM Modi will also meet the people of the Indian community living in Poland.

What did the Governor of Lodz say?

Lodz Governor Dorota Rill described PM Modi’s visit as important for Poland and the region. She also mentioned the relations between India and Poland. She said that Poland sees India as a big partner for trade and other cooperation. Rill said, many business delegations from Poland regularly visit India.

Travel is important

Tanmay Lal, Secretary (West) of the Ministry of External Affairs, termed Prime Minister Modi’s visit as important. This visit is taking place at a time when 70 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries are also being completed. He also said that a unique relationship between India and Poland dates back to the time of World War II during the 1940s, when more than six thousand women and children of Poland took refuge in two princely states of India – Jamnagar and Kolhapur.

After Poland, PM Modi will go to Ukraine

After Poland, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also visit Ukraine where he will discuss bilateral relations in trade, humanitarian aid and other areas. In Ukraine, he will also meet students and other people from the Indian community. It is believed that this visit of Prime Minister Modi will further strengthen the relations between the two countries. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi visited Russia, where he was awarded Russia’s highest honor.
