Putin Warns Boris: ‘Boris, doesn’t want to hurt you… It will take only 1 minute to fire the missile’, Putin threatened Johnson before the war

London : Britain has been supporting Ukraine continuously since the Russian attack. First Boris Johnson and then Rishi Sunak, have themselves gone to Kyiv and pledged support to Zelensky. In return, he is getting constant threats from Russia. Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened him with a missile attack in a phone call before Moscow launched an attack on Ukraine on February 24, 2022. He said this in a BBC documentary titled ‘Putin vs the West’, which will be telecast on Monday.

Boris said, ‘Putin threatened me. He said, ‘Boris, I don’t want to hurt you, but with a missile it will only take a minute.’ The former prime minister also said he warned Putin that invading Ukraine would lead to Western sanctions and an increase in NATO troops on Russia’s borders. The BBC reported that he tried to dissuade Russian military action by telling Putin that Ukraine would not join NATO in the near future.

The documentary also features Defense Secretary Ben Wallace, who flew to Moscow to meet with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu on February 11, 2022. The film revealed that Wallace left with assurances that Russia would not invade Ukraine, but said that both sides knew that was a lie. Wallace said he believed Russia would attack. He said that on his way out of the meeting, General Valery Gerasimov, the chief of the General Staff of Russia, told him, “We will never be humiliated again.”

Zelensky refused to flee

Less than a fortnight later, when tanks arrived at the border on February 24, 2022, Johnson received a call from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at midnight. “Zelensky said you know, they’re attacking everywhere,” Johnson said. He offered to help President Zelensky move to a safe place. But Zelensky did not accept their offer and remained there ‘heroically’.
