‘Ramlala’ life consecration festival celebrated in Ravana’s country too, Ram bhajans echoed, temples decorated – India TV Hindi

Ram Utsav celebrated in Sri Lanka also

Ram Mandir Ceremony in Sri Lanka: The festival of Ramlala’s life consecration was celebrated with great pomp in Ayodhya on 22 January. Amidst Ramdhun, ‘Ramlala’ was consecrated with rituals. The joy of this festival was visible all over the world. There was enthusiasm for Ram Utsav even in Ravana’s country Sri Lanka. Even in Hindu-dominated northern Sri Lanka, the consecration ceremony of ‘Ram Lalla’ held in Ayodhya was celebrated in many temples.

Along with the official ceremonies held in India, several rituals were also performed in northern Sri Lanka. Rituals were performed on Monday at various temples, including the iconic Nallur Kovil temple. Indian Consulate officials also participated in this program. Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil or Nallur Murugan Kovil, located in the Jaffna district of the Northern Province, is one of the most important Hindu temples.

Crowd of Ram devotees gathered in temples

Huge crowds gathered in the temples. Where devotees cleaned the idols in the morning. Later, prayers were offered in temples and Ram bhajans were sung. According to the 2011 census, Hindu population is more than 12.5 percent of Sri Lanka’s population of 2.10 crore. Whereas the population of Jaffna is six and a half lakhs. Of these, more than 80 percent are Hindus.

Ram Utsav celebrated in Nepal too

Ram Utsav was also celebrated with pomp in the Hindu country Nepal. Nepal is also the in-laws house of Lord Shri Ram. Nepal’s Foreign Minister NP Saud, while giving his reaction on social media platform It’s the moment. Maryada Purushottam Ram and Nepal’s daughter Mata Sita were symbols of courage, sacrifice and righteousness. The two countries symbolize the deep cultural and civilizational connect between ‘India and Nepal’. His qualities and ideals should always inspire us to serve humanity.
