‘Shahbaz ruined Pakistan’s economy’, Imran raised demand for elections to save Pakistan from default

Islamabad: In Pakistan, former Prime Minister Imran Khan said at a rally on Tuesday that only early elections can save the country’s economy. He warned that Pakistan is heading towards default and its risk has now increased to 64.5 per cent. Speaking at a rally, Imran Khan asked who is responsible for this economic crisis? During his speech, Imran was referring to the risk of default which has reached a high of 64.5 per cent.

Imran claimed that his government was removed through a forced regime change in April. Then the risk of his government taking loans from abroad was less than 5 percent and today it has increased to 64.5 percent. Imran further said, ‘This means that there is a lack of resources in our country to pay for imports and repay foreign debt.’ However, Pakistan’s media is surprised that Imran did not even mention the floods in Pakistan.

‘Pakistan will not be able to repay its debt’
Imran said that the new figures show that there is a strong possibility that Pakistan will not be able to repay its debt. This shows that the present government has destabilized the economy. Accusing Shehbaz Sharif’s family of huge loans, he said, “Foreign investors are withdrawing their money from Pakistan and no one is ready to give loans to Pakistan.” Pakistan’s total debt has increased to Rs 53.5 trillion.

Government ruining the economy
At the rally, the PTI chief expressed apprehension that if there is a default in the country, the rupee will depreciate further, which will increase the suffering of the people. Imran alleged that the Shahbaz Sharif government has been killing Pakistan’s economy for the last seven months. Imran said that we were getting stronger on the issue of economy, then his government was toppled, which had no point. If Pakistan defaults, it will not affect Shehbaz Sharif and his company.
