Hindu temple damaged in California
A temple located in Newark area of California, USA has been attacked. It is being said that the Hindu temple was damaged and pro-Khalistani slogans were written on its walls. The incident took place in Newark city, pictures of which were shared by Hindu American Foundation on Twitter, showing anti-India slogans written on the walls of Swaminarayan Mandir Vasna Sanstha. In the pictures, hate slogans against India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are seen on the wall of the temple. The foundation insisted that the incident should be investigated as a hate crime.
Administration ordered investigation
Now the US State Department has reacted on this matter. The US State Department has condemned the incident of damage to Shri Swami Narayan Temple. In this case, Newark Police has been ordered to take strict action against whoever is accused of this incident. In this regard, the US State Department tweeted from its official Twitter handle. The department wrote in the tweet, we condemn this incident. We welcome the action taken by Newark Police against the accused. Police said in this regard that the incident happened on Friday. Slogans were written against India after the Hindu temple here in Newark. Let us tell you that different departments of America have ordered investigation on this matter.
Police engaged in investigation of the case
The Consulate General of San Francisco wrote a post on X on this matter, We strongly deny the incident of damage to the Swami Narayan Temple. This incident has hurt the sentiments of Indians. We have created pressure to take immediate action in this matter. In this connection, Newark Police has started investigating the matter. According to the temple administration, an attempt was made to damage the temple on Thursday night. A temple spokesperson told ANI that a devotee named Bhargav Rawal first informed about the incident. Soon after this the local administration was also informed about this.
