The ‘King of the Sky’ SU-57 will be included in the Russian Air Force, capable of carrying nuclear missiles, also has ties with India

Moscow:The war between Russia and Ukraine is still going on. Meanwhile, Russia has moved towards inducting the new generation Sukhoi-57 Felon fighter jet into the Airforce. It will be the 23rd fighter regiment after trials in the Russian Aerospace Regiment (VKS) after several delays and mishaps. This regiment is in the east of Russia. The regiment’s deputy commander, Lieutenant Colonel Ilya Sizov, told the Eastern Military District newspaper Suvorovsky Natisk in November that the unit’s pilots are currently undergoing training.

In the year 2007, Russia and India had agreed to make this aircraft. However, later India separated from this program. It is said that India was not happy with the capability of the engine and radar of this aircraft. Russia built the Sukhoi-57 aircraft between 2010 and 2017. Now its production has also been accelerated. Two Sukhoi-57s in 2019 and 2020 were already delivered to VKS before production. The first of these crashed during a handover flight on 24 December 2019. But later this incident was covered up. A year later in December 2020, the second aircraft tail number 01 became the first SU-57 to be formally handed over to the Russian military and deployed to the Russian Defense Ministry’s 929th State Flight Test Center in Akhtubinsk.

When will we meet fighter jets
A major order for the Sukhoi-57 was placed by the Russian Defense Ministry on 27 June 2019. Under this, 76 fighter jets are to be delivered between 2021 and 2027. Four aircraft each have been given in 2021 and 2022. Seven aircraft will be delivered in 2023 and 2024, and then 18 aircraft each year in 2025, 2026 and 2027. Although there has been a decrease in the production of Sukhoi. Russia currently has a total of five aircraft. Two aircraft are in Akhtubinsk and 3 in Lipetsk in the west of Russia. The four aircraft will be deployed to the Geomgi Regiment in the eastern region of Russia in early 2023.

What is the specialty of Sukhoi-35
If we talk about the specialty of this jet, then this jet can reach twice the speed of sound without burning its afterburner. It is more of an anti-stealth fighter than it is a stealth fighter jet. The Sukhoi-57 is primarily armed with air-to-air missiles, which pose a major threat to enemy airforce. It can carry many types of missiles. Along with this, it can also carry Russia’s hypersonic Kh-47M2 Kinjal missile, which is capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
