This statement issued by Russia regarding nuclear war, know what was said

Ukraine-Russia War: The situation regarding the ongoing war in Russia and Ukraine is getting worse every day. Recently, Russia has intensified attacks in Ukraine, so Ukraine has also claimed to have killed one thousand Russian soldiers in a day. Meanwhile, the danger of using nuclear weapons is also increasing. Both countries have accused each other of using nuclear weapons. Meanwhile, on Wednesday (November 2), the Russian Federation has issued a statement to stop nuclear war.

Russia said in the statement that as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council and one of the nuclear weapons powers, the Russian Federation bears a special responsibility in matters related to strengthening international security and strategic stability. In implementing its policy on nuclear deterrence, Russia is strictly and consistently guided by the principle that nuclear war cannot be won and should never be fought.

What did the Russian Federation say?

The Russian Federation stated that Russian theoretical approaches in this area have been defined with utmost precision. Pursue only defensive goals and don’t accept elaborate explanations. These approaches allow Russia to hypothetically resort to nuclear weapons. Russia proceeds from the continued relevance of existing arrangements and understandings in the field of limiting nuclear weapons. We fully reaffirm our commitment to the Joint Statement of the Leaders of the Five Nuclear Weapon States to prevent nuclear war and to avoid an arms race on January 3, 2022.

Nuclear powers must avoid military conflict

The statement further said that we are firmly convinced that in the current situation, the first and foremost task is to avoid any military conflict of nuclear powers. We urge other states to demonstrate their willingness to address this top priority task and to abandon dangerous attempts to infringe on each other’s vital interests, balancing on the verge of direct armed conflict. Also, do not encourage provocation with weapons of mass destruction, as it can have disastrous consequences.

Significantly, Russia recently conducted nuclear exercises under the supervision of President Vladimir Putin. During this, ballistic and cruise missiles were fired. Earlier, Russia alleged that Ukraine could use a ‘dirty bomb’ and was provoking Russia to carry out a nuclear attack.
