Abu Dhabi’s first Hindu temple opens for devotees

The first Hindu temple built of stone in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was opened to the general public on Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated this first Hindu temple of Abu Dhabi on 14 February. The temple has been built at a cost of about Rs 700 crore in an area of ​​27 acres near Al Rahba on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Highway. The land for the temple has been donated by the UAE government. Abu Dhabi’s first Hindu temple is built in Nagar style. Similarly, Ram temple has been constructed in Ayodhya.

Temple opened for devotees

According to Umesh Raja, a volunteer at the temple, more than 20 thousand tonnes of limestone pieces were carved in Rajasthan and brought to Abu Dhabi in 700 containers. Bochasan resident Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) said on ‘X’, “The wait is over! The Abu Dhabi temple has now been opened to all visitors and devotees.” It also mentioned that the temple will be open from 9 am to 8 pm on all days except Monday. Let us tell you that this temple was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In fact, just a few days before the inauguration of the Ram temple, he had received an invitation to inaugurate the first Hindu temple built in Abu Dhabi. During this, PM Modi had said that he will participate in this program and inaugurate it. After this, PM Modi reached Abu Dhabi recently and inaugurated the first Hindu temple of Abu Dhabi. Let us tell you that this temple is very special to see, which has been constructed in Nagara style. Also, the marble and stones used in it were brought from Rajasthan.
