Britain has demanded the inclusion of India and Japan in the AUCS agreement. Aucus is a trilateral security agreement between Australia, the UK and the US, which was announced on 15 September 2021 for the Indo-Pacific region. Under the deal, the US and the UK will help Australia acquire nuclear powered submarines.
