Peshawar: Two policemen, including a station house officer, were killed in a terrorist attack on a police station in north-western Pakistan. Police said that heavily armed terrorists attacked the Bargai police station in the terrorism-affected Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Sunday night. According to police, one policeman died on the spot in the attack, while the injured station house officer died during treatment in the hospital. Police said that the station house officer was hit by several bullets during the encounter and before the attack the terrorists were hiding in a house located near the police station.
The terrorists attacked by ambush
In another attack in north-west Pakistan on Sunday, terrorists targeted vehicles of the Frontier Constabulary, killing at least two soldiers and injuring three others. According to police, the terrorists ambushed the convoy of security forces in Maddi area of ​​​​Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. According to police, two soldiers were killed in the attack and three others were injured, who have been admitted to the hospital.
Pakistani army took major action

The army’s media wing ‘Inter-Services Public Relations’ (ISPR) had said in a statement that the operation was launched against them based on intelligence about the presence of terrorists in Kurram district. In the action taken by the security forces, seven terrorists were killed, while five terrorists were injured.
