Talks took place between PM Modi and Zelensky, India-Ukraine signed 4 agreements – Hindustan News Hub

Kiev: India and Ukraine have signed four major agreements after talks on several important issues between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. This agreement between India and Ukraine is very special amid the Russia-Ukraine war. Before the talks, President Zelensky gave a grand welcome to PM Modi at his official residence Mariinsky Palace in Kiev. After a long discussion between the two leaders, four major agreements were sealed.

A total of four agreements have been signed between India and Ukraine for cooperation in agriculture, medicine, culture and humanitarian aid. Earlier, it had already been approved by the Union Cabinet headed by PM Modi. This agreement provides for cooperation in various sectors of agriculture and food industry. Under this, a joint working group of representatives of both the countries will now be formed, whose task will be to discuss the plan of cooperation in the identified areas and monitor the implementation of the set tasks.

There will be a meeting between India and Ukraine every 2 years

The working group constituted under this Agreement shall meet at least every two years, alternately in the Republic of India and Ukraine. This Agreement shall remain in force for a period of five (5) years from now, which shall be automatically extended for a subsequent period of five (5) years. This Agreement may be terminated after six (6) months from the date of receipt of notification from either Party of its intention to terminate this Agreement. (Input: PIB)

What did Jaishankar say after the Modi-Zelensky talks?

Referring to the talks between Prime Minister Modi and President Zelensky, Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that an important part of the talks was about our bilateral relations. During this, discussions were held on trade, economic issues, defense, pharmaceutical, agriculture, education sector between India and Ukraine.
