PCB: The Champions Trophy 2025 is to be held in Pakistan and for this the Pakistan Cricket Board has sent the draft schedule to the ICC. This time a total of 8 teams are to participate in the Champions Trophy. Pakistan wants to get the Champions Trophy held at its place at any cost and is making every effort for this. Now the ICC delegation will go to Pakistan to take stock of the preparations for this tournament and will also discuss the possible schedule with the Pakistan Cricket Board.

A source familiar with the matter said the PCB has not yet been informed how many officials are coming and which departments they will represent but there are indications that the programme will be discussed in detail. The schedule sent by the PCB to the ICC suggested keeping the Indian team in Lahore. The ICC delegation will inspect the development work going on at the venues Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi, as well as hold meetings with security officials and review broadcasting arrangements, team hotels and travel programmes.
It is not certain that India will go to Pakistan yet
The source said that the boards of the countries participating in the Champions Trophy must have seen the schedule by now and some work needs to be done before it is finalized and announced. The final decision related to whether the Indian team will be allowed by their government to play in Pakistan or not is the main reason for the schedule not being finalized yet. The Indian team’s visit to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy is not confirmed yet. The BCCI has left the final decision to the Indian government.
There has been no bilateral series between India and Pakistan since 2013. Now both countries are seen playing only in ICC tournaments and Asia Cup. Cricket is very popular in both countries. Whenever there is a cricket match between India and Pakistan, the eyes of the whole world are fixed on that match. In the final of Champions Trophy 2017, the Pakistani team defeated India and won the title.
