NEET topper in Punjab commits suicide, this year in Kota alone so many students have given the NEET till now

Punjab NEET topper Navdeep Singh commits suicide: A promising NEET topper from Punjab recently committed suicide, which has shocked everyone. The figures are worrying

According to the data, in 2024, 15 NEET aspirants have committed suicide in Kota alone. At the same time, many reports of suicides of students have been coming from other areas of the country as well. While reports show that last year 29 students had attempted suicide in Kota. According to experts, this figure is a matter of concern and shows that there is a need to prioritize mental health in our educational structure. The government and educational institutions will have to work together in this direction so that there is minimum pressure on the students and they can easily get counseling and mental health services.

Who is Navdeep?

An incident came to light in Delhi’s Maulana Azad Medical College, where 25-year-old student Navdeep Singh committed suicide. Navdeep hanged himself in the Parsi Anjuman Guest House on Sunday night. It is being told that Navdeep had topped the medical entrance exam NEET UG in the year 2017 and secured AIR-1 rank in the whole country.

Currently, he was pursuing post-graduation in radiology. In 2017, Navdeep Singh secured the first rank in the NEET exam with 697 marks. Taking the matter seriously, the police have sealed Navdeep’s room. Also, the police have seized the student’s mobile and sent it for forensic investigation.
