The actor, who participated in the India Against Corruption movement in 2011, said the ideal way to resolve issues is ‘dialogue’. Speaking about the ongoing farmers’ protest, he said that everyone has the right to protest, but it should not affect the lives of common people. He further said, ‘We are an independent country, thanks to the ‘movement’ started by (Mahatma) Gandhiji. We are the result of the Quit India Movement, the Non-Cooperation Movement, but the people of India were together, it was not something that was just helping one person.

During this conversation, Anupam says, ‘Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and freedom of expression, but does not have the right to cause inconvenience to other people. This is the current scenario in our country, the protests are happening only in the name of farmers. I don’t think farmers think like this in the entire country, farmers are food providers. We are made to feel defensive by saying that we are talking about “Annadata”… I feel that those who pay taxes are also contributing to the development of the country. I think it is not right to make the lives of common people miserable.
